Bleaching

What is tooth bleaching?

Teeth bleaching (called bleaching if bleach is used for this purpose. Bleach is a type of bleaching agent) is a method by which the color of teeth that have turned yellow and badly colored can be returned to normal or That it turned a little whiter than normal.

When it comes to teeth bleaching, you have three choices:

    Bleaching in the doctor's office
    Bleaching at home
Combine one or two office sessions with a complete home package

Which is determined based on the amount and type of discoloration of the type of tooth bleach in the examination session.

All three methods use bleach based on hydrogen peroxide. The materials used at home contain 3% to 15% peroxide, while in the doctor's office 15% to 40% peroxide is used.

For all three methods mentioned above, different materials are available with different percentages of effective ingredients.

The duration and method of using each substance is different and specific, which is prescribed according to the conditions, and increasing and decreasing the time and amount of the substance will not improve the results. It may lead to more sensitivity to the teeth.

Each of these three methods has its advantages and disadvantages. Be sure to consult your dentist before using bleaching at home. This method is not recommended for everyone. Bleaching can not whiten porcelain veneers or tooth-colored composites.
