root canal

What is root canal treatment and why is it done?

Root canal therapy, also known as endodontic treatment, is a treatment in dentistry that refers to the elimination and discharge of infection inside the tooth. Doing so can also greatly reduce the risk of future intra-dental infections. Since this operation is related to the soft pulp or tooth marrow and this part is also part of the root of the teeth, this treatment is called root canal treatment.
What is root canal treatment?

The tooth is made up of two main parts, one is the crown of the tooth, which is the white part, and the other is the root of the tooth, which is welded to the jawbone. In this article, we are only dealing with the root of the channel.

The root canal itself is not actually a cure and refers to a part of the tooth or the root of the tooth. The tooth root is a hollow space where blood vessels, nerve vessels, and soft pulp cells are located. In fact, the only living part of the tooth is the soft pulp, where infection can be dangerous. Root canal treatment is called root canal treatment.

How is tooth pulp contaminated?

As mentioned, root canal is an infection of the dental pulp and requires immediate treatment. The treatment for this problem is to clean and remove the living contents inside the tooth root.

Inside the mouth are a large number of beneficial and harmful bacteria that do not harm us under normal circumstances. But if a person has a deep cavity in his tooth or is cracked, broken and loose, the best space is created for the activity and destruction of bacteria. Bacteria take advantage of this condition and find a way to the soft fungus and tooth root to infect it. Eventually the bacteria destroy the dough. If the bacteria can penetrate deeper into the parts, they can cause an infection in the jawbone, which is much more serious. Because the infection causes bone weakness and bone loss. Eventually, the infection causes the ligaments around the tooth to swell and the tooth to loosen.
